![]() there seems to be a more fleshed out level of progression vs the minecraft: iron, diamond, nether, end If you don’t like Minecraft then it’s not going to appeal, but if you like Minecraft it’s basically a more polished and fleshed out version. They sell premium accounts on the server that basically keep the maintenance and developers paid, as well as enough to maintain a small studio that was putting together Hytale. It’s peaking over 100k concurrent during this pandemic, between double and triple the nearest other server. The Hypixel server itself is more than just another server. Combat isn’t just clicking as fast as you can, creatures/NPC have a better built AI, caves are different between biomes, there are more mini bosses and reasons the explore, quests, improved weather and day/night cycles, etc. So massive servers, mini games, mmo like stuff, etc are seamless instead of a lot of hacked together java and a prayer.Īlso all of the single player systems are fleshed out. It’s basically Minecraft with all the standard built in features from the community from the start instead of jankily put together. but it never got it's optimizing etc so you hit 20 hearthlings (people) and CPU starts struggling and AI stalls/idles and game needs rebooting every 30min or so (may be just my old i7 2600 that can't handle it longer than 30, not sure, but most people have reported idling on the stonhearth forums) It's still a fantastic game to play tho, a lot of fun and the mod community is amazing. Nobody could figure out why and they weren't willing to say but it was no coincidence it was right after the buyout so people assumed Riot cancelled the project and moved the team onto other stuff (but again absolutely 0 transparency back then so nobody knows) It was just sudden, random and with no explanation. ![]() One day out of the blue they announce Riot has bought them and not to worry stuff would be made as normal, then not too long after they announced it, announced the regular Dev streams were stopping, then a bit after that they announced development was stopping after the next 3 patches then they would leave a skeleton team on for a couple month to make sure no game breaking bugs in the new patch, then nothing. They were updating the game nicely, had a lot of stuff to come both new ideas and ones from Kickstarter they had planned. Nobody knows for sure as far as I'm aware, I stopped keeping to people trying to figure it out after a while because it bummed me out. /r/GamePhysics - Clips of game physics shining and glitchingĭesign based on /r/FlatBlue created by /u/creesch./r/gaming4gamers - middle ground between purely-for-fun and more serious subreddits./r/GamingLeaksAndRumours - Leaks and Rumors.Posting unmarked spoilers will result in removal and warning, and posting spoilers with malicious intent will result in a ban.
